Therapy With Carol Missel
Therapy Overview
Therapy can help you if you are tired of the pain, negative habits, or intrusive thoughts that affect your relationship with yourself or someone you love. It’s a commitment to getting real and getting to work. Therapy isn’t a quick fix but a process that makes you feel more empowered and free. It takes a commitment of 5-10 months or more.
The good news is that you’re not doing the work alone - Carol is right there with you, supporting you, guiding you, and celebrating with you at each step of the way.
Schedule
Therapy sessions with Carol are currently held on varies times during the week, with Thursdays being an option for in-person sessions. Sessions for individuals meet weekly or bi-weekly, for around 55 minutes. Couples or Family sessions are usually bi-weekly for around 85 minutes. You should be ready to make a commitment of 5-10+ months when you contact us to get started.
Location
On Thursdays, clients have the option to see Carol in-person or virtually, but all other appointments will be virtual. Carol may open a second day of in-person in 2024 - TBD. Carol’s in-person office and business mailing address is: 4500 9th Ave, Suite 300, Seattle WA 98105.

Individual session for 85 minutes is $315.
Relationship Therapy for 85 minutes is $315 ($210 per hour, rarely will Carol offer 55 minute sessions)
Payments: Payments for service are processed at the end of the day through our client portal. You will not have to exchange payments in person, which allows your time with Carol to be maximized. Your preferred form of payment will be securely stored in our client portal.
You may access your receipt of payment (called a “super-bill”) anytime through the client portal. You can print off these super-bills to submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement.

New Client Process
If you are interested in starting therapy, please send us a message through our Contact Page and let us know what service(s) interest you. You are also welcome to call us at 206-717-8809.
We’ll be in touch with you via email and phone, typically within 1-3 business days. In that initial contact, we’ll be asking general questions and making sure your availability matches with what Carol currently has open.
If your availability doesn’t match with Carol’s current openings, we can give you a list of clinicians who have been supervised by Carol or are trusted colleagues in her areas of specialty. Also, feel free to reach out again in a month or two, to see if there are new openings available.
If availability matches, we will set up a free, 15-minute phone consultation between you and Carol. This phone call is the opportunity to meet Carol and make sure that you both feel like this working relationship could be a good match. We want you to be served well, so this allows us to make sure that Carol’s offerings align with what you most likely need.
If it is a green light, we’ll work with you to get into a regular slot with Carol and email you a link to our client-portal. Go to the link to receive directions and to complete the intake forms and the form of payment document. This personal link will also give you the option to schedule future appointments.
Carol and you will meet at your first scheduled appointment, which is often referred to as an intake session. This will be a time for her to get to know you, the general context of your life, and to hear from you what your hopes and dreams are for living your best self. Together, you will set goals for your work together and begin the process of becoming more empowered and free in your life.
